"Tactile Blue" by Yaacov Agam (Israeli b. 1928)

"Tactile Bleu?. Tactile painting, comprised of 40 round painted disks attached to springs, mounted to black painted wood panel, each disc in cream enamel. Signed and titled verso, Agam, Tactile Bleu. Lot includes a wood box with plexiglass insert containing an additional disc and a small container of paint for touch ups (which is now dried). 22 x 31.5 in. 3.5 in.d.

Condition: Some of the discs have small chips to the paint and some teal color blue paint splatters which may or may not be original. Some unevenness, tiny losses and oxidation to surfaces of metal discs as would normally be expected for age. Old paint touch ups to some discs. One disc with small paint loss to area of later touch up. One disc bent slightly at edge. Springs holding discs in various states of natural oxidation/rust. Overall in very good condition.
