Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM- 9.2...
Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. A superb copy of one of the Marvel Age's prime books, which features the origin and first appearance of Tony Stark, aka Iron Man! It just so happens to be the seventh most valuable Marvel among Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics and is ninth overall. Jack Kirby's cover is one of his most iconic, and the bright red and yellow inks and the pretty back cover on this copy just make the book that much more desirable. A solid Marvel artist lineup of Don Heck, Steve Ditko, and Gene Colan contributed interior art for the supremely important issue. Overstreet 2023 NM- 9.2 value = $88,000. CGC census 3/24: 16 in 9.2, 27 higher. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
