Tanya Klyat; Anticipation, the Series of Artworks "The Body I Live in", 2021; sculpture, ceramics; 70х27см

The sculpture from the project experiment: every day I recorded a feeling of the day through a sculpture. In this series, I wanted to shift the focus of attention from external events to internal processes: from communication to feeling, from "appearing" to "living", from "looking at yourself with eyes of others" to "feeling your emotions". Abstract forms show how emotions are expressed by the body and convey a "bodily feeling". In the project, it was important for me to show the body not as an object that is evaluated from the outside, but as the subjective reality that reveals from the inside.
The sculpture was made as part of the residential program of White Room Foundation, took part in the exhibition "The Dark Side of the Rainbow" of White Room exhibition center. The sculpture can be placed either on the wall (mounting is provided) or horizontally on a table or podium. The sculpture is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
