Taxidermy: A Cased South American Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus nacurutu), early 21st century, a superb-quality full mount adult with head turning to the left, perched upon a painted simulated rock ledge, amidst a natural setting of moss, ferns and grasses, mounted above painted soil groundwork beneath, a snail positioned below, set against a pale blue painted backdrop, enclosed within a period style ebonised three-glass display case, 46cm by 26.5cm by 69.5cm.
