Taxidermy: A Pair of Hen Harriers (Circus cyaneus), circa April 1953, by Thomas Salkeld, Taxidermist, Over Kellet, Carnforth, a pair of full mounts male and female, both perched upon a painted faux rock ledge, amidst a natural setting of tall grasses, moss and fauna, enclosed beneath a large period glass dome (cracked), upon an oak base, 55cm by 25cm by 65cm overall, taxidermist's small paper trade label to interior rear left, previously mounted as a wall hanging case, see Tennants Auction, Lot 419, 30th October 2019, part of the Bruce Housden collection. with Cites Article 10 (non transferable) licence no. 597280/01

Dome is cracked to right side, previously mounted as a wall case, placed into a dome by the current owner. This specimen would require a re-export licence to export from the UK, an import permit would be required into your chosen country, this is the responsibility of the buyer alone, Tennants Auctioneers do not offer any onward re-export or import licences. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
