Taxidermy: East African Eland (Taurotragus oryx pattersonianus), dated 1909, British East Africa, by Rowland Ward Ltd, "The Jungle", 167 Piccadilly, London, a large adult bull neck mount looking straight ahead, glass eyes, right horn 79cm, left horn 79.5cm, tip to tip 31cm, from the wall 82cm, height 135cm, mounted upon a trademark shield, with ivorine plaque - "Eland, B.E.A, 1909", remnants of paper trade label and care label to verso, and RW gouge

Historically restored - crack to left side of neck, around eyes and side of face repainted, both ears restored.
