Taxidermy: Gemsbok Oryx (Oryx gazella), late 19th century, South Africa, by Henry James Burton, 191 Wardour Street, London, an adult male head mount looking straight ahead, right horn 93cm, left horn 93.5cm, tip to tip 59.5cm, from the wall 43cm, height 111cm, ceramic game tag around right ear "745", partial paper trade label to verso, hand written letter to verso, stating previously purchased at the auction of Gordon Cummings, together with three other heads

Restored - associated horns i feel these are not original to this specimen, ears and facial areas repainted. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
