Tazza - .925 silver - A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham- England - 1910

Sterling Silver Tazza: made by the silversmith (the firm) A & J Zimmerman in Birmingham. Made in 1910. This company existed for a relatively short time. Namely between 1900-1913. This is why mainly the larg(er) silver items by this firm are quite rare. For that time "1910" this was a relatively sleek (styled) object. Provided with the various “Hallmarks”: walking lion (Sterling) , city crest (Birmingham) , Year letter (1910) and master/makers mark (A & J Zimmerman) . The waved edge creates a beautiful effect (finish) on a “fairly” sleek “basic design”. It is, as it were, a "timeless" piece which could also have been designed in present-day. This silver Tazza has a very solid design. The weight is 454 grams nett (no weighting) . The height is 9. 8 cm and the diameter of the top edge is 23 cm. The diameter of the base is 11. 2 cm. The condition is very good. Only very minor signs of wear/scratches mentioned for full disclosure. A true "ornamental piece" on your table or elsewhere in your interior.
