Teapot - .925 silver - James Charles Edington, London - England - 1831
Teapot in Sterling silver. Made by the famous English silversmith JAMES CHARLES EDINGTON, active in LONDON since 1828. The rose has been replaced (likely the original one was damaged) . The rose was made by the English silversmith "REBECCA EMES & EDWARD BARNARD" (1808-1829) . Three different coats of arms have been engraved on two sides and on the lid, likely those of the noble owners. Two of them feature a motto in Latin and in English: "PRUDENTIA ET CONSTANTIA" and "WILL GOD I SHALL". The three coats of arms are all different probably because this teapot has passed from a noble family to another. Amazing collector's item.
