Tekke Torba

A Tekke torba from the Akhal oasis. Twelve primary guls and chemche secondary guls adorn the field. The border shows kochanak hooks and the elem, offset rows of trees. The torba has the specific height of the format, but is as wide as a chuval. This is why the field design appears stretched in the horizontal direction. Very fine weave.
Condition
Pile in good condition. Lower finish unevenly reduced. No kilim back.
