Telstar Taiwanese Novelty Quartz Piano Form Alarm Clock

A Taiwanese novelty quartz alarm clock designed in the form of a baby grand piano. The case is constructed from molded black plastic featuring a hinged lid that opens to reveal a small storage compartment and the clock face. The lid is supported by a black plastic prop rod. The clock face is printed on the interior of the clear plastic cover, featuring white Arabic numerals and a minute track. The dial bears a printed logo at the twelve o'clock position consisting of a star over a circle containing the name TELSTAR. Centered above the six o'clock position is the word QUARTZ, and the bottom of the dial is printed MADE IN TAIWAN. Time is indicated by two white hands with luminescent green strips and a yellow sweep second hand, while a red hand indicates the alarm setting. A black oval button located above the simulated keyboard serves to silence the alarm. The front of the lid is decorated with the word Piano in gold-tone script and ALARM CLOCK in block lettering, positioned above a printed staff of musical notation.
