Temper - Neoclassical - Gilt, Wood - Mid 19th century

Magnificent neoclassic temple, sculptural artistic piece, made in the 19th century, neoclassical with small baroque brushstrokes. The origin is Italian and it is preserved in good condition, it was recently re-gilded by the previous owner. This small-scale architecture features a lot of functions, from occupying a space in the house or private collection as a decoration, to a display of a sculptural or pictorial carving or even on a small corner to place candles. The shape is half a classical temple, with a portico of fluted columns on a pedestal, Corinthian style, made of carved ebonized wood. These five columns support a furnace vault, decorated inside with sculpted floral motifs; polychromed with 18K gold leaf. On it hangs a pendant with 2 angels holding a golden bronze shield.
