Ten Chinese famille verte plates, six Kangxi period, four later, enamelled with a dignitary on a yellow or iron red steed with attendant at the entrance of a green temple with a fence in border of auspicious emblems interspersed with a flower and green scrolls, five 20.5cm diam, one 22.5cm diam, four 23cm diam, ding in concentric circles in underglaze blue, four unmarked, one with dealer's label

Plate 1 - (Marchant plate) hairline crack at 8 o'clock. Plate 2 - three hairline cracks. Plate 3 - several rim chips, mostly on underside. Plate 4 - broken and stapled. Plate 5 - cracked and chipped in one place repaired with adhesive residue. Plate 6 - hairline crack in border at 8 o'clock.

Later plates: Plate 7 - two spots of rim fritting at 8 o'clock. Plate 8 - hairline crack in border at 4 o'clock. Plate 9 - tiny flat abrasion to rim at 12 o'clock, not cracked or chipped. Plate 10 - two tiny nicks on underside of rim.

Generally, enamels vibrant with some, mainly light, wear on earlier plates
