Terracotta - Stele of shameless Aphrodite - 2nd C. BC

GREEK STATUETTE - IMPUDIC APHRODITE Elegant statuette in terracotta representing the goddess Aphrodite in an alcove. She is shown from the front, naked, slightly swaying, one knee forward. She nonchalantly holds one arm on her chest and a hand on her pubis. Her hair is pulled up by a tiara. Magna Graecia, Western Mediterranean, end of the Hellenistic period, around the 1st century BC. Height 21. 2 cm - width 8. 6 cm - Orangey beige terracotta. Excellent preserved condition, restoration. Information regarding the provenance: Germany, M. H.
