This gelatin silver print is in generally excellent condition. Under close examination in raking light, the following are visible: a pinpoint-sized raised area by the sitter's jawline, possibly a result of the mounting process; a one-1/4-inch linear impression extending from the lower right margin edge slightly into the image; a very soft crescent-shaped crease in the lower right quadrant; and a few scattered deposits of indeterminate nature. The signature has shifted towards red.
The reverse of the mount is taped to an overmat so the print's margins could not be fully examined. '28/100' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand on the reverse of the mount.
