The Amazing Spider-Man #99 (Marvel, 1971) Condition: VF+....
The Amazing Spider-Man #99 (Marvel, 1971) Condition: VF+. Stan Lee gets political in this issue, which serves as a critique of overcrowding in the American prison system. Just a few issues before, Lee tackled the danger of drugs in an issue infamously not approved by the Comics Code. It's no wonder Lee was invited to speak at Ivy League universities during this period -- when he was taking big risks and leaving no stone unturned! Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon appearances. Cover and story art by Gil Kane. Overstreet 2026 VF 8.0 value = $77; VF/NM 9.0 value = $166. From the Robert "Doc" Pelzel Collection.
