The Augsburg silver christening set of the Counts of Thun-Hohenstein
Comprising a pitcher, bowl, and two small dishes. The 12-lobed bowl with a gadrooned rim and engraved to the broad border with strapwork. With a pedestal to the centre for the conforming pitcher. Both shallow dishes of shaped oval form, all pieces engraved with the coat-of-arms of Thun-Hohenstein beneath a comital crown. Diameter of bowl 37; H of jug 20 cm; L of dishes 20; W 15.5 cm, total weight 1,300 g.
