Moderate spine stress, spine ends rubbed, corners creased, tiny dogeared nick resembling 2mm chip to right edge near rim of coffin, bottom staple pulled, ¼" split bottom spine, ½" tear bottom edge, distributor's mark in pencil ("6"), penciled name "Ronald" over the "O" and "N" in "BEYOND," soil spot superficially resembling a color touch to top right corner of front cover. Off-white pages. Cleaned and pressed by Comics In A Flash. Cover: Warren Kremer. Art: Maurice Gutwirth, George Appel, Ken Rice, Frank Giusto, Mike Sekowsky. GPAnalysis: No reported sales in this grade. A 5.0 sold for $179 in March 2021.
Tuff-talkin' vampire gal disses, drains victims: "You won't need that camera anymore! You won't need ANYTHING anymore! Not even a grave! What I leave of you, the rats will finish!" The splash to "Valley of the Scaly Monsters" embodies Dr. Wertham's dictum that comics contain "pictures within pictures for children who know how to look" — a scaly monster, holding a wineskin that resembles a massive male member with titanic testes, commands his blonde captive: "You drink NOW!" Crazy stuff.
