Complete in twenty-five volumes. London: Longman, Hurst, Rees & Orme, 1808. First edition. Small 8vo. (6.5 x 4 inches approx.). Portrait of Mrs. Inchbald to volume I, twenty-three other portraits. 125 engraved frontispieces (one to each play in the collection). General title-page & half-title to each volume. §One of the most comprehensive collections of the British drama, in an attractive library edition. Unobtrusive old paper-repair to one general title & half-title; corner of title of one play torn away, losing one word of publisher's imprint. A very good set, recently handsomely rebacked in period-style black calf, gilt lettering & decoration, preserving the original marbled boards (latter pleasantly rubbed and toned; one board of volume I being an expert modern replacement - very unobtrusively so - with similar marbled paper to the original). A most handsome set. (**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY** - Heavy/overweight item weighing 8.2 kg packed, therefore additional postage will be required - please ask for a prior shipping quote).
