Issued circa 1926 by the British-owned China General Omnibus Company for use on Shanghai’s buses, this brass 2½-cent token features its denomination pierced through the centre, a distinctive relic of the city’s early public transport network. With part of the metal not punched out in the '2', technically this should be considered an error.
