Also includes a long letter of explanation from Ada to the landlord about how tough things are and why he cannot pay the rent of $186.50 (5 1/2 months) or the $95 in taxes to the state and county; dated 1923, 4 pages, typed and hand signed. Also includes a letter 1924, from The Citizens State Bank to Joe concerning the sale of the pool hall (for $400) and licenses, and check.
