Condition Report:
The canvas is thinly lined and stable on its stretcher. The overall image reads well. There is visible signs of abrasion in the lower left corner and a small spot of paint loss in the upper left which is stable. A previous campaign of restoration can also be seen in the area between the main figure and his shield where there is an amended tear that has now discolored slightly. Under UV inspection, the varnish appears milky with scattered spots of retouching throughout. The painting can be hung in its present state but could benefit from being cleaned and re-varnished. Offered in a wood frame with the inscription 'ANCO GLI ACHILI LA GRAN FALCE ANCIDE E NOSTRA SPEME SVL FIORIR RECIDE.'
