The coin is a bronze prutah of Hasmonean Kings of Judaea, John Hyrcanus (Yehohanan), 135 - 104 BCE, with Hebrew inscription: 'Yehohanan the High Priest and the Council of the Jews' in five lines within wreath / Double-cornucopia adorned with ribbons and pomegranate within the two horns; small 'L'. Ref: Hendin-454. Coin with exceptional detail, deep brassy tone and set into a stunning .925 silver Star of David ring. Coin diameter 12 mm; bezel size 23 mm, the ring US size 11 3/4.
