"The FUGS are an emanation or hallucination of the culture of the Lower East Side. (...) The real meaning of the FUGS lies in the term BODY POETRY, to get at the frenzy of the thing, the grope-thing; that is, to use the enormous technical proficiences of modern poetry (the revolutions of Ginsberg, Robt [sic] Creeley, W.C.
