The History of Persia from the Most Early Period to the Present Time: Containing an Account of the Religion, Government, Usages, and Character of the Inhabitants of that Kingdom
By MALCOLM, John, Colonel Sir
First edition. Two volumes bound in four. Folio (approximately 36 cm x 27 cm.). Bound without half-titles. Large folding map. Bound in later buckram, with morocco spine labels. Ex-private club library with paper spine labels and bookplates (stamped "withdrawn") in each volume. The only other marking is a small stamp on the verso of the folded map. Labels quite eroded, else sound very good copies, and internally fine. Map has a small tear, very light foxing (almost completely confined to the margins), and a small repair on the verso of the map. A tall copy with very little trimming to the margins. Probably a very good candidate for rebinding.
