The Holy Bible translated by Julia E. Smith
By Smith, Julia E.
Book has evidence of modest cover wear likely due to silverfish at some point in the past. Purchased at an auction in Smith's hometown of Glastonbury. The book came from a Hale home a short distance from where Julia and Abbey resided. Given the like new condition of the interior, I suspect this was one of fifty copies that was sold at auction when Julia sold the residence after marrying for the first time in her mid-eighties and moved to Hartford. In the world of bibles and the importance of women's rights, this book and this woman are at the top of the list.
