The Journal of John Woolman, Published Posthumously

"A Journal of the Life, Gospel-Labours, and Christian Experiences of That Faithful Minister of Jesus Christ, John Woolman; Late of Mount-Holly, in the Province of New Jersey." London: T. Letchworth, 1775. Twelvemo, 319pp. An abridged collection of journal entries by Woolman. The volume has brown leather-bound boards, with five raised bands at the spine. Inscribed by the owner on the front free endpaper, "D. Roberts/ Mary Roberts to John Thompson 1869." Scratching and wear to the covers. Bumped corners and rubbing at the edges and spine. He kept a journal throughout the entirety of his life, and it was published posthumously in 1774 by Joseph Crukshank. It is one of the longest running published books to date in North America and has never been out of print.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
