Together with a heavily restored chair probably from the same set. Three of the five chairs with period slip seats, the remaining two with modern slip seats.
Height 38 in.

Condition Report:
Three of the five chairs with period slip seats, the remaining two with modern slip seats.

Chair II: Proper right side corner glue blocks replaced. Retained original yellow pine slip seat frame marked II. Splat is cracked and needs to be glued. Three of the pierced brackets are replaced, the only original bracket is the proper left front. Original slip seat.
Chair III: Proper right front glue blocks replaced. All brackets replaced. Proper left upper most ear of splat replaced. Original slip seat.
Chair IV: Proper left front pieced bracket original others replaced. Proper left back heel has a patch. Top of both stiles are cracked and re-glued on the back side. The show is cracked at junction of splat. Internal glue block added the middle of each side rail. Accession number 1968-70-3. Replaced slip seat.
Chair V: Accession number 68.70.1. Proper front right bracket replaced, other brackets appear to be original. Replaced proper right back glue block. Original slip seat.
