The Nebbs #1 (Croydon Publishing, 1945) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white to white pages....
The Nebbs #1 (Croydon Publishing, 1945) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white to white pages. This is the first time we've offered this Golden Age comic, and it's the highest-graded copy in the CGC census. This one-shot comic reprints material from the popular newspaper strip by Sol Hess. These characters had already been appearing in newspapers for more than 20 years, so audiences were very familiar with this domestic comedy strip. And their popularity was apparently still going strong after their creator's death. Hess died in 1941; this comic and a radio show debuted four years later. Lingerie panels. Cover and art by W. A. Carlson. Overstreet 2026 VG 4.0 value = $30. CGC census 9/26: 1 in 4.5, 2 higher. HID09710052018 © 2026 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
