Dominique Tarle documented the Rolling Stones for six months in 1971 and 1972 as they settled in the South of France as tax exiles from Great Britain. During this time, the band recorded what some consider to be their masterwork, the double album Exile on Main Street. Tarle's photographs take the reader inside the inner circle of the band at a crucial point in their storied career.
