LOT 34

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), banner, signed by Roger Moore, German

[ translate ]

Unframed: 22 x 47 in. (55.8 x 119.3 cm)

SIGNED BY ROGER MOORE.

This poster was printed in two sizes. This larger size poster is the rarer of the two.

It is rare for anyone to have an original poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/DVD sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures.

This was the tenth of the James Bond films produced by Eon Productions, and the third starring Roger Moore. It was directed by Lewis Gilbert and also stars Barbara Bach, Curt Jürgens, and Richard Kiel in the memorable role of Jaws. It captured the imagination of everyone who saw it, with Bond's famous Lotus Esprit which converts into a submarine.

Condition Report:
Mounted on card

Material of piece: Paper, mounted on card

Very good condition, colours remaining very bright. This poster is unrestored and has a few minor surface marks, along with cracking and slight paper lifting on the centre-fold. There are also some small holes around the edges. It has been mounted on a thin card and one of the edges is lifting off slightly.

Provenance:
The owner of this poster was SVP of the company responsible for all the 007 global licensing, etc. from The World is Not Enough to Skyfall. He acquired the signature in 2005.
