The following lots 26 and 27 are by Alice Halicka. Halicka exhibited at the Salon des Independants and began to work under the influence of art dealer Leopold Zborowski (1889-1932), who was a strong proponent of Cubism. Zborowski began to represent her work, however her husband strongly discouraged it; as a result Halicka destroyed much of her cubist work, and from 1919 focused on collage and fabric design.
