Theatre Interest.- A collection of photographs, letters and programmes signed by prominent stage actors and actresses, including: signed photographs of Ivor Novello, Peggy Ashcroft, Harry Andrews, Diana Wynyard and Wendy Hiller; an autograph note from Kenneth Branagh ("Many thanks for your kind letter. I'm delighted that you've enjoyed 'Much Ado'. Thank you for the encouragement!") on The Renaissance Company postcard; a souvenir programme for the production of King Lear at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in 1950, signed by John Gielgud, Peggy Ashcroft, Andrew Cruickshank and Harry Andrews on front cover; an Old Vic Theatre Company souvenir programme for 1949-1950, signed to front wrapper by Michael Redgrave, Yvonne Mitchell and Diana Churchill; a typed letter signed by Donald Sutherland, reading in part "When I gave the piece to The Times it was titled 'Approaching Critical Mass in a Black Cab'; in other words it was supposed to be read with irony and humour. The Times cut away the title and added all that stuff about being wounded. I was not happy, to say the least". (9)
