This elegant title page comes from Jansson's town book featuring 41 plans of French and Swiss towns. It depicts seven allegorical figures on an ornate architectural framework: Pax, Concordia, Opulentia, Justitia, Securitas, Coomunitas, and Obedientia. Two additional figures look through an opening at a small, but impressively detailed landscape.

A nice impression with one spot at bottom, a short edge tear that just enters image at bottom, and a small chip in an unengraved area at top left. There are remnants of hinge tape on verso.
