Theodorus van Oorschot 1910-1989 Schijndel, Brabant. The artist Theodorus (Dorus) van Oorschot lived and worked mainly in Schijndel. He was educated at the Academy of fine arts in Tilburg and was taught by Antoon van Domburg, Charles Bakker and Nico Molenkamp. Van Oorschot paints in the style of the Hague School, impressionistic and colourful. Subjects are mostly landscapes in Brabant, interiors, still lifes and flowers. Van Oorschot has several imitators who try to imitate his smooth way of painting. His works can be found in various museums, including the Museum Kempenland in Eindhoven.
