BIOGRAPHY:
Theodore "Ted" C. Ewen was a Pratt Institute graduate, a World War II Naval Officer, and a lifelong sailor, artist, yacht builder and marine designer. His paintings often graced the covers of Rudder, Motor Boating and Yachting Magazines and others are held in private and family collections. He worked with designers and yacht yards including Consolidated Yacht Yard in City Island, NY and with Bill Luders at the Luders Yacht Yard in Stamford, CT. In the 1950's and 1960's he worked for Gibbs & Cox in New York City, first as a design consultant and subsequently as an employee in the design department.
