A vintage, silver gelatin print depicting Theodore Roosevelt in his second term as President, Washington, D.C., ca. 1907. Originally captured by famed Washington-based photographers Harris & Ewing. Measuring 6.75" x 8.75". Moderate silvering to edges, with minor surface imperfections throughout; evidence of prior mounting on verso. Otherwise, good condition.

Harris & Ewing Inc. was a photographic studio in Washington, D.C. established by George W. Harris and Martha Ewing. Two years before this image was taken, Harris had accompanied President Roosevelt on a press tour for his 1904 reelection campaign. It was during this time that he was encouraged to open a studio in Washington, which first opened in 1905.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
