Theropod Dinosaur Tooth Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Late Cretaceous Tegana Formation, Kem Kem Basin Sahara Desert, Morocco The Carcharodontosaurus dinosaur was a theropod and aptly named since the term literally translates to "shark-toothed lizard," which its teeth indeed represent. This example of prehistoric dentition has both slight curvature and impressive serrations. This golden-brown representation has been expertly repaired and offers substantial preserved enamel.
