Third Reich Luftwaffe 1st Model Dagger by SMF, Solingen, with Flieger School Marks, standard 1st model dagger with nickel silver fittings. Blue leather covered grip with wire binding. Bulbous copper central swastika sections to the pommel top and cross guard. Housed in the original scabbard with metal fittings and full hanging chains. The top scabbard mount is stamped 'Schl.9' (9th Fliegerschule). Double edged plain blade with makers trademark to the base and acceptance stamp. The blade measures 30 1/2cms, overall 48 1/2cms.
