Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Officers Chained Dress Dagger, fine example with black grip having nickel eagle and enamel SS runes device. Nickel silver grip mounts. Housed in the original scabbard with the central band having swastika motif design. Type 2 chains with SS runes and skulls links and closed cloverleaf. Reverse of one link having the SS runes acceptance stamp. Remains of an old collectors label to the reverse of the clip fitting. Attached to the clip is the original leather hanger two piece hanger. Excellent condition blade which has much of the original cross graining remaining and motto 'Meine Ehre heist Treue'. Correct non-maker marked blade. Some wear to the scabbard and light staining to the blade but generally an excellent example of an SS officers dress dagger. Blade 22cms, overall 37 1/2 cms.
