THOLEN, Willem Bastiaan Landscape with two children by the creek. 1914 Drawing, watercolour, 17 x 25 cm, velin paper, signed at lower right corner "Tholen". Under passe-partout and frame. Landscape by the Dutch painter Tholen (1860-1931), who had some connections to members of the The Hague School and later associated with the Amsterdam Impressionism movement. Tholen established his reputation in The Hague with his landscapes of the countryside around Kampen and views of the woods near Baarn.
