Dimensions are: 7 5/16 in (18.6 cm) X 4 3/4 in (12.1 cm). All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Some damage to spines, particularly Vol. VII and VIII, indications of repair/graft. The joining of spine and back cover shows particular cracking or wear, with a darkening of the leather. Vol. X, XI, XII have considerable damage to spines, the latter two are broken off and XII in pieces; the covers of Vol. X are loose but spine intact despite wear. Gilt tooling faded on Vol. X.
Provenance: From the family collection of William J. Latta, noted collector of Napoleon memorabilia and/or his son-in-law Harry Franck, a well known travel writer, by descent.
