A bronze ring with D-section hoop, stepped expanding shoulders and ovoid bezel bearing incuse scene of helmetted warriors on horseback, carrying shields, within a plain border. 11.08 grams, 29.19mm overall, 20.64mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/4, Europe 18.12, Japan 17) (1"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market; previously in a UK private collection before 2000.
