Three Antique Folding Ladies Hand Fans, late 19th-early 20thc., comprising; a black silk taffeta fan with pierced ebonized sticks and silvered embellishments, the leaf with hand painted figures in shield shaped tulle bordered cartouches, with hand sewn silvered sequins, in fitted French silk and satin box stamped Shreve, Crump and Low, Boston, together with a silver sequined fan and a Japanese Chrysanthemum embroidered silk fan in padded velvet lined tomobako. 9.5 in.l. (1st) 7.5 in.l. (2nd) 8 in.l. (3rd) Condition: 1st fan-Good with some minor losses tohand painting, and some losses to tassel attached to fan. 2nd fan-Good with some fraying to silk at top edge of leaf. 3rd fan- some tears and weaknesses to silk.
