Three Chinese Blue and White Jars, 17-18th Century
A group of 3 Chinese blue and white ceramic jars dating from the 17th to the 18th century. The group includes: a celadon-ground jar with a bird and flowering branches, a blue and white landscape jar, and a blue-ground jar featuring flowers.
Dimensions are: the largest landscape jar measures 5 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide, 12.7 cm tall X 10.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The landscape jar has several glaze defects and a chip to the rim. The blue ground jar shows several star cracks to the interior. All jars show minor abrasions.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
