British, Continental, 18th/19th century, hanging Dutch spill box, 5-1/2 x 6-1/2 x 2-3/4 in., solder repair to hinged lid, polish residue, a few spots of verdigris; candlestick with round base, 11-1/4 in., pitting, polish abrasions; candlestick with stepped petal form base, 8-3/4 in., wear to finish, abrasions Provenance: Collection of Marion and Theodore Gore, Williamsburg, Virginia. According to the family, the Gores purchased most of their pewter, brass and copper from Jack Casimir Ltd. in London.
