second quarter 19th century, painted cut-outs superimposed over engravings/lithographs and glass, the examples illustrating: an exhibition, h. 12-1/4", w. 16-1/2", d. 2-1/4"; a funeral procession, h. 8-1/2", w. 17-1/2", d. 2-1/4"; and a fire show, h. 10-1/2", w. 12", d. 2-1/4". All glazed and presented in framed shadowboxes.

Condition Report: **All three examples are in overall very good condition. All three boxes are heavy; they are made of painted cut-outs (some with printed lithographs and engravings) on glass. To the lower left corner on the first example, "an exhibition", there is a probable small repair, a tiny tear and some light abrading to paper edge near tear. The second example, "a funeral procession", has some toning to the blue background (sky) and a fews specks of foxing scattered throughout. The third example, "a fire show", does not exhibit any visible repairs or losses. All frames have some scattered nicks and scratches, all of which are to be expected with age and use.
