Three MAD flexi-discs, 33 1/3 RPM format, comprising: Meet the Staff of MAD (1959), Makin' Out (1979), and A MAD Look at Graduation Day (1981). All three discs are in excellent condition; the spindle-hole chads for the first and last disc are still present and intact. Provenance: From the Collection of Thommy Burns, author of numerous essays for Fantagraphics's EC Artists' Library series. These discs were previously sold in Heritage's October 17, 2019 "The MAD Collection of Annie Gaines Ashton" online auction.
MADman Thommy Burns says: "These three unbound, unplayed discs come from the Gaines collection. They were part of a larger assortment sold by Annie Gaines Ashton in October of 2019, and since later MAD items aren't part of my archival wheelhouse, they are up for grabs to other deserving MADmen! The fact that they came from Bill Gaines's personal files adds both sentimental and historical value. HOOHAH!"
