Three Mesopotamian buff coloured coarse ware pottery vessels, including two dishes, one with straight-sided collar rim, the body tapering to the base, 14.1cm diam., an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed ‘Ur of the Chaldees’; another with gently sloping sides tapering to a raised circular base, 11cm diam., an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed: ‘vase found at Ur dating from about the time of Nebuchadnezzar’ and a globular vessel with flat base and broad flaring neck, 11.2cm high, an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed ‘Ur of the Chaldees’, circa 1st Millennium B.C. (3) Provenance: Private English collection formed in the 1950s
