Three Pairs of Native American Beaded Hide Moccasins Pair of Native American Beaded Hide Moccasins, side sewn with rawhide sole, beaded with turquoise, red, green, blue and yellow in a geometric pattern, together with a pair of Native American leather and beaded moccasins, blue and white geometric bead design to top and around base of top; and a floral beaded pair with yellow floral designs with turquoise, red and green. Provenance: Private Collection. Cleveland, Ohio, purchased from Estate of Dorothy Louise Luhrs, PhD, (1910-1972), Archaeologist with University of New Mexico/School of American Research Field School, whose studies and research included the Una Via Chaco Canyon, NM, Largo Canyon, NM, Guatemala, Mexico, and the Hoopa Indian Reservation in northern California. Luhrs was also president of the Southwestern Anthropological Association from 1950-51. 10 in. l. , 9 in. l. 9.5 in. l. Condition: the 1st with splits at side seams on both, dusty, brittle, losses, tears. 2nd, stains and natural derioration with beads intact, the 3rd with dirt from wear and natural aging.
